Door Top Ligature Monitor Alarm for Behavioral Health
Kingsway Group’s NYS OMH Guide approved Door Top Monitor detects ligatures at the door’s top edge to alert staff in the event of a ligature attempt. The integrated ligature monitor triggers an alarm when pressure is applied to the door’s top edge and works whether the door is open or closed.
An adjustable delay of up to seven seconds can be set to prevent tamper or false alarms when required, making sure clinical teams are correctly alerted to ligature incidents and reducing false or nuisance alarms.
The Kingsway Door Top Monitor alarm is fully integrated with the door itself, meaning the unit has no visible wiring and offers a streamlined, discreet appearance. The wiring travels within the door core and exits through the electrically modified hinge, providing a reliable power source to the life-critical system.
